Hi there, Cheryle, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you've found us here! My fellow Panelist pals and I are always happy to help! If you're hoping to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth in just a couple of days, there is definitely a little bit of preparation you can be doing between now and your arrival.
Cheryle, there are a few Special Offers for Florida Residents that might apply to your visit. The best thing to do is head to the
Special Offers page to see what might be applicable to you. You'll find various discounts on hotels and Annual Passes that might be enticing to you!
When it comes to visiting Walt Disney World Resort with little ones, it's important to think about your location. If you'd like to be within walking distance to
Magic Kingdom Park, consider staying at
Disney's Contemporary Resort or
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. With little ones who like to nap, it's so nice to be able to arrive at the parks early and head back to your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel room during the afternoon to rest. Staying at a hotel within walking distance will make a huge difference as you navigate your day. My other tips for visiting with little ones include learning all about
Rider Switch Service, taking advantage of
Character Dining experiences, knowing where to find the
Baby Care Center, and making sure you're set up for success by efficiently packing your stroller.
Rider Switch Service is definitely something you should look into before your arrival. If there's an attraction that your youngest Mouseketeer isn't tall enough to ride, your party can split up at the entrance to the ride, allowing everyone to make the most of their time. Check in with a Cast Member at the entrance, and they'll scan your MagicBand, allowing you to wait with your little one while the rest of your party enjoys the attraction. As soon as they're done, you and one other member of your party will be able to enter and use the Lightning Lane for that attraction, so nobody has to miss out!
Be sure to look into Character Dining experiences, where you'll enjoy a delicious meal and be visited by your favorite Disney Characters. If you need a quiet place to change or feed your little one, visit the Baby Care Center near The Crystal Palace restaurant. You'll also find essentials available for purchase, including children's medication. Lastly, when you're packing your stroller, remember that you're welcome to bring snacks and drinks for you and your kiddos. I'm never without applesauce pouches, fruit snacks, and water bottles!
Cheryle, I hope your family has an amazing time at Walt Disney World Resort! Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have!
See you real soon!
