Hi, Can a Florida resident grandparent purchase a 4 day ticket for a grandchild and show proof of residency by doing online verification? Does the Florida grandparent have to be present at the gate with the child using a Florida discounted ticket?

Thank you for visiting planDisney with your question Narith.

The gift of a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is such a thoughtful gift. Your kids are lucky to have such wonderful grandparents. When it comes to Florida resident discounted tickets they are reserved for residents only. But the good news is there is a fantastic special offer right now for guests from any state! The 4-Day, 4-Park Ticket is $396 plus tax. Prices are subject to change. This ticket allows you to visit one of the four theme parks within seven days of first use. The best part is this deal is you don’t have to be a Florida resident and all guests can enjoy it. The dates for this offer are available through September 29, 2023. They do have blockout dates from July 1 to July 4, as well as September 1 to September 4, 2023.

These tickets are a great way to give all of the parks an equal amount of love. I know my family is guilty of giving the star of the show Magic Kingdom Park more attention. Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is the park you want to be at super early. The residents are usually active during the early morning and take naps during the afternoon. This leads me to my next piece of advice to take that mid-day break if you got up with the sun. You will be surprised how much energy you can recover from a two-hour rest in your room or even an hour in your car taking a nap. Your evening waiting on those nighttime shows like Happily Ever After or Fantasmic! will be easier to enjoy. And in some cases, the parks are still open after that last firework goes off. So be sure to check the posted closing time and don't just run out of there. You could head to one of the attractions you missed or loved so much that you needed one more go before you leave.

I hope this information is helpful in planning your next visit. If you have any other planning needs please do not hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.com.

    Have a magical day,

    Jeremy A.
