As a Florida resident and a grandparent planning to take immediate family to Disney this April. My grandchildren are 5 yrs old, 2 yrs old and 6 months. My son and daughter in law. What is best plan for me to purchase tickets and discount for tickets!

Hi there, Toni, and welcome to planDisney! I couldn't be happier that you're here today with this great question about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Your vacation will be here in just a few short months, and you must be getting so excited!

Toni, you'll be happy to know that you're welcome to purchase Florida Resident tickets for minors traveling with you. Adults will need to show proof of Florida Residency for their tickets. I should also point out that Guests under the age of three do not need to purchase a ticket! When you're ready to purchase a ticket for you and your grandchild, just head to the Walt Disney World Resort website. The ticketing process is very simple and transparent, and you'll be able to see the price before you check out.

Florida Residents are often eligible for savings, and you'll see those as you choose your tickets on this webpage. You'll select the number of days you need, and then the start date for your ticket. At this point, you'll choose your ticket type. I like the "1 Park Per Day" option because my family likes to spend the entire day at a Disney Theme Park, rather than hopping between the four parks. There is so much to do at each park, and I could spend so much time at each one without repeating activities! Then, you'll select the age range for each Guest you're buying tickets for, and your grand total will be at the bottom of the screen.

When it comes to verifying your Florida Residency, you can actually do this online! Check out this helpful list of approved identification. You can even fill out a form when you purchase your tickets, that allows you to upload your identification so that you don't have to do it in person when you arrive.

Toni, I hope this is helpful to you as you plan your vacation. Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have as you count down to your arrival!

    See you real soon!
