Hello and welcome to planDisney, Karesa! I'm glad you've stopped by to discuss your tickets!
First off, I wanted to say how incredibly thoughtful that your friend gifted you tickets to the
Most Magical Place on Earth. There really is no better gift! With that being said, it depends on the type of ticket that your friend gifted you. If your Florida resident friend gifted you a
Florida resident ticket and you live out of state, which I am pretty sure you do, you would unfortunately not be able to use them. Florida resident tickets are meant for people that live in the state of Florida and can show valid proof of residency, like a Florida ID, when you arrive at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks to use them. If your friend gifted you regular
standard theme park tickets without the Florida residency attached to them, then yes you are absolutely able to use them to visit any of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. However, I feel like this isn't the case and you are more asking about the Florida residence tickets specifically.
If your friend did gift you tickets that you can use, don't forget that in addition to those tickets you'll also need to make park pass reservations.
Park pass reservations are basically like a virtual placeholder in line at the theme park you'd like to visit each day. To make park pass reservations, you'll first need to link your theme park tickets to your MyDisneyExperience account. Then, you'll need to visit the park pass reservation website. You'll select your travel party, a date on the calendar and then the Walt Disney World Theme Park you'd like to visit. If all goes well, you'll be taken to a confirmation page and have the option to make a selection for another day. You'll need to do this for every day that you have theme park tickets.
I'm sorry I don't have better news for you, Karesa. It really is a thoughtful gift. If you have any other questions about your tickets or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have a great day!
