Hello and welcome to
planDisney, John. Thanks for stopping by with your question.
John, I think it's so great that you would like to pass along the savings of a
Florida Resident Ticket on to your family. The ticket discounts for Florida residents are fantastic. However, in order to use a Florida resident ticket, all Guests over the age of 18 are required to show valid
proof of residency in the form of a valid Florida driver’s license (must have a Florida address), a valid Florida state-issued ID card (must have a Florida address) or a valid Florida-based military ID in order to activate your ticket. There are a few other options for verification but those are the primary ways. Because of this, your family ages 18 and older would not qualify for a Florida Resident ticket since they are based in other states. You can however purchase tickets for any Guest that is under 18 at your special Florida resident price, John, but you'll still need to be present to show valid proof of residency to activate those tickets before the first use.
Your other family members will need to purchase either a standard theme park ticket that allows entry into one park per day or upgrade to the park hopper option. After that, you'll also need to make
park pass reservations for each day you and your family would like to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Park pass reservations are like a virtual placeholder in line at the theme park you'd like to visit each day since they are operating at a limited capacity still.
John, I hope you and your family have such a magical time at Walt Disney World. If you have any other questions about this, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have fun!
Jackie H.
