I want my Florida resident brother and sister in law to visit us at our Copper Creek DVC resort. How can he get there and park? Do I need to notify resort?

    Howdy, Fran!

Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you are visiting one of my favorite Disney Vacation Club Resorts, the beautiful Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.   You'll have the best of both worlds, with the magic of Disney and the rustic feel of this western-styled Resort.

Fran, we often stay in this Resort and my parents, who live in Orlando, will join us for a visit or for dinner.  There is a security guard stand near the entrance of the Resort. But typically, if your visitor lets them know they are visiting you, provides your name, and shows a photo ID, they are usually permitted to enter and park during their visit.  You can certainly let the Front Desk know so they can notify security if you like.

When my parents come, we usually meet them in the lobby of Disney's Wilderness Lodge and then walk them to our room. This would also ensure that your brother can easily connect with you, and visit with you during your stay.

Now, I sure hope you are planning to have your brother join you for a meal at Whispering Canyon Cafe while he is there. Let's be honest, though, there is nothing quiet about this restaurant, especially if you ask for ketchup! But, what better way to enjoy family time than over a family-style barbecue meal at this wonderfully fun and delicious restaurant?

I hope this helps you, Fran. If you have any questions, feel free to round me up and I'll be so glad to help you. Remember, Fran, you've got a friend in me!

    Happy trails!
