If my Florida Resident brother is buying Disney Theme Park tickets for my non-resident children, does my brother need to be present at the Park for them to enter, or can he do the Residency verification online?

    Hiya Marie,

Welcome, welcome to planDisney! I'm sure your little Mouseketeers can't wait to enjoy Walt Disney World Resort. Have you seen the Tangled-Inspired Vacation Countdown idea that was released in honor of World Princess Week? It is such a cute and magical way to help build excitement for your little ones!

How amazing that your brother is getting your children's Theme Park tickets! Uncles are the very best. To answer your question, the official Walt Disney World Resort policy is that Guests under the age of 17 are not required to show proof of Florida Residency to activate Theme Park tickets. Children, however, need to be accompanied by a valid Florida Resident at the time of purchase and activation. So it looks like a perfect excuse for your brother to spoil your little ones with all the Dole Whip and Mickey Ice Cream bars they can eat.

I hope you all have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort. Let us know if you have any other questions as you prepare for your trip.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
