Hiya Laura!
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your Annual Passholder question! Isn’t it the best being a Florida resident? I love that we can plan magical staycations or just hop in the car on a whim and be strolling down Main Street, before lunch. It really does feel like we have pixie dust in our own backyard!
So, let’s jump right into your question. If you're purchasing a brand-new
Annual Pass (not a renewal), you’ll have one year from the date of purchase to activate it. Once you use it for the first time to enter a Walt Disney World theme park, the clock starts ticking—and the pass is then valid for one full year of magic from that first entry. That gives you time to plan when the magic begins!
Since you’re purchasing a
Florida Resident Annual Pass, be sure to have your Florida residency credentials handy. Disney will need to verify your Florida address at the time of purchase. You can use a valid Florida driver’s license, a state-issued ID, or a Florida-based military ID. If you don’t have one of those, there are other accepted documents too, and you can find that
full list on the Disney World website.
Laura, I hope this helps as you prepare to become a Passholder! There’s nothing quite like the joy of being able to say, “Let’s go to Disney today,” and actually making it happen. If you have any more questions, please feel free to visit us again.
See ya real soon,
Christina
