Hey there, Deborah! Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney with your question.
I've been a Walt Disney World
Annual Passholder for several years now, Deborah, and am so excited you are considering joining the family. The discounts and special offers really make the program worth it. Since the reopening of Walt Disney World last summer, the sale of new Annual Passes has been currently suspended. We haven't received word on when the program may come available again. When that announcement is made, we will be able to find out all of the details over on the
Disney Parks Blog. I don't think the program is going anywhere, however. At this time, Guests who have an annual pass that is about to expire are able to renew at this time. Also, Guests that cancelled their annual pass during the shut down last year and received a refund are also able to get a new Annual Pass. This, however, is on a case-by-case basis right now. Children that have recently turned 3 and now require theme park admission are also able to purchase a new annual pass if they have a parent who has a valid Annual Pass. All of these things makes me believe that the Annual Pass program is going to open up to the general public very soon.
Until then, Deborah, there is a really great discount on tickets being
offered to Florida residents at this time. Right now, you can save 40% on 4-day tickets or 30% on 3-day tickets. To be able to take advantage of those discounts, you will need to have proof of residence. This can look like a valid Florida driver's license, valid Florida state-issued ID Card, valid Florida-based military ID, proof of current mortgage, certain bills or mail. To save you time when you are actually visiting Walt Disney World, you can have your residency digitally verified when purchasing your tickets online.
Deborah, I have my fingers crossed that the Annual Pass program opens back up to everyone in the near future. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
