As a Florida resident, are we able to book a package with the $200 deposit in advance with the Florida resident rate factored in to the theme park tickets? And if a resident-only room discount came up, would be be able to apply it? Thank you!

    Hi Jacqueline! Welcome to planDisney!

I'm happy to hear you are planning a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Being a Florida resident, I'm sure there is nothing quite like having Walt Disney World in your backyard! Visiting during the holiday season comes with many perks, but none more so than exploring the resorts and parks for all of the holiday festivities going on.

Since I have not had the pleasure of utilizing these special deals for Florida residents, I did want to verify this information before confirming with you. I spoke to a few Cast Members earlier today, and they did confirm that you can bundle the Florida Resident Tickets with your resort room to form a vacation package. You'll be able to put down the initial deposit, and then pay off the balance in full at least 30 days before your arrival date. Florida Resident Tickets come in either 3 or 4-day increments, so this will be the maximum length your package can be for in order to use this deal.

You should be able to book this package directly on the Walt Disney World website. I recommend entering your anticipated travel dates and choosing your resort first followed by your ticket package. Once that has been decided, continue by logging in to your My Disney Experience account. If at this point the ticket package does not reflect the Florida Resident rates, I suggest calling the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line and speaking to a Cast Member for assistance. I did confirm with a Cast Member that they will be able to handle this directly over the phone if required.

Now, if any additional special offers pop up before your arrival date, you will be able to apply them to your existing reservation. You should be able to take care of this yourself in your My Disney Experience account. Once you are logged in, scroll down to "My Plans" and click on "Modify Reservation". Again, if you have trouble doing so, you can always call and speak to a Cast Member to have them take care of it for you.

Jacqueline, I hope this information helps you plan your upcoming stay! Have a magical time on your trip!

    See ya real soon!
