Welcome to planDisney, Kim.
How exciting that you'll be traveling to The Most Magical Place on Earth this October. This is one of my favorite times to visit. Not only is the weather great, but the crowd levels can be a bit lower too. I also love having so many pumpkin-tasting snacks and smells to enjoy!
Kim, there is a very popular Halloween event called
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party that runs on select nights at
Magic Kingdom Park. On those nights, Magic Kingdom Park will close early (6:00 PM) for regular Guests. However, the other theme parks, namely, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom, will be open all day for you to enjoy. Therefore, on those days when Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is taking place, you're more than welcome to visit one of those other parks. However, you might be helped to know that visiting Magic Kingdom Park on those days might actually be your best option. You might find that the other parks are busier that day, as people tend to flock to those parks since Magic Kingdom Park closes early. Therefore, you might enjoy going to Magic Kingdom Park in the morning and then hopping over to another park later in the day. If you purchase a
7-Day or 14-Day Magic Ticket you'll have the Park Hopper option, which will give you lots of flexibility.
I hope that's helpful, Kim. Feel free to stop by again if you have any other questions. TTFN, ta-ta for now.
Mike
