If a Florida grandparent verified their residency online at time of purchasing park tickets for grandchildren, do they still need to arrive in person to show verification at will call?

    Hiya Jennifer!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sending us this magical question! Florida residents sure are lucky as they can benefit from amazing perks and appreciate the Disney magic often. And do I even have to mention Florida winters? As someone from Canada, that sounds like a dream to me!

You are correct that Florida Residents can now use an online verification of their proof of residence, which allows them to simply tap into the theme parks on their first visit. However, this option is only available if the grandparents, or anyone getting the Florida Resident tickets, have a valid Florida state ID such as a driver's license, a state-issued ID card or a Florida-based military ID. If the Guest does not have a Florida ID, they can instead provide proof of current mortgage, select bills or mail along with a corresponding picture ID, which would have to be verified in person. Other family members benefiting from the Florida Resident tickets would either have to show their own proof of Florida residence or proof of the same residential address, so the grandchildren would only be able to benefit if they also live in Florida.

Once you have purchased your theme park tickets, don't forget to make your theme park reservations too! I always suggest booking them as soon as you purchase your tickets as they are subject to availability. Also, while I do not know when you will be visiting, I hope you will be able to experience some of the incredible offerings returning to the Walt Disney World Resort real soon! Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party are two of the offerings I am most excited about as they add so much to your Disney vacation. These events require special event tickets, so make sure to book those early as they are also subject to availability. In addition, the EPCOT's International Food & Wine Festival officially kicked off its 2022 season with all of its delicious seasonal offerings, so I highly recommend checking out Disney Parks Blog's Foodie Guide to make a list of what you would like to try. Lastly, don't forget that the 50th-anniversary celebration continues through March 2023, so check out the celebratory offerings while they are still there!

I hope this was helpful, Jennifer, and that you and your fellow Mousketeers will have the best day ever on your next Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your trip, please don't hesitate to reach out. You and me, we're in a club now!

    Have a magical day,
