We are going to be in Florida a day before we check into disney. For that day we are staying at a hotel near downtown disney. On the day that we are checking in to disney can we bring our luggage with us to downtown and take the POFQ bus to check in?

Hi Matt - you've got one of the two Ontario Disney Mom's here - thanks for writing your question to the panel.  You are doing just what our family does - we stay off-site the night before our Walt Disney World Vacation begins.

I have double-checked with guest services and yes, you can bring your luggage to Downtown Disney and take the resort shuttle back to Port Orleans French Quarter (by the way, you are going to love that resort!)  If you do this early in the day (prior to 3pm check-in), you can check in and they will hold your luggage at the hotel until your room is ready later in the day.  You will then be free to head off and enjoy a day at the parks.   Have a wonderful vacation!

Walt Disney World stole my heart when my parents introduced me to the magic the year it opened. I fondly remember my first 'Mickey Mouse in a Glass House' balloon! I still visit with my parents-and now with my husband and our two teens. Learn More About Lynn
