We are going to be in Florida at Christmas time this year. It was mentioned to me that you can visit the hotels on the grounds to view the decorations. Can you do that? If yes how do you access them and any suggestions on the top 3-5 that we should take in

    Hi Donna,

You absolutely can and should visit the different resorts if you are going to be in the Walt Disney World area during the holiday season. They are all unique, but my favorites include Grand Floridian, Beach Club, Wilderness Lodge and Contemporary. Grand Floridian has an absolutely gorgeous Christmas Tree and a life sized gingerbread house.

I recommend making dining reservations at Chef Mickey's or the Wave in the Contemporary. You can park your car if you dine there. Then take the monorail to the Polynesian and Grand Floridian. You could even take the boat launch to Wilderness Lodge.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
