Hi will be in Florida for Christmas 2013. My son has ADHD,Autism, sensory issues, low muscle tone and other issues. Do you know where the best place is to eat Christmas Day without my son getting to stressed? Thank you.

    Hi, Sharon!

Christmas in Walt Disney World is such a spectacular experience! You are all in for such a treat next year!

Having traveled to WDW with hundreds of my high school seniors each year for the past several years (some of whom also have special needs) I understand the type of environment you're looking for in a Christmas Day dining location. Off the beaten-path would be best, without all of the hoopla and as little of the crowds as possible for that particular day, which is always very crowded.

For these reasons, I suggest that you book an Advanced Dining Reservation outside of a park that day, perhaps in one of the very easy-to-access resort restaurants near Magic Kingdom, Epcot or even Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you are staying in a WDW Resort hotel which offers Table-Service dining, that would be truly ideal as well, as you can either head to a park early that morning and come back to enjoy your resort later in the day or can simply relax the entire day at your resort, capping off that most special day with a lovely meal nearby.

Send me another question including where you'll be staying, Sharon, and if you'd prefer breakfast, lunch or dinner at a Table-Service restaurant that day. In addition, let me know if you'd like to head to a park that day and I can send you a list of great restaurants that are just a hop away from that park...with far lesser crowds, too.

Can't wait to help you find that perfect location for a truly magical Christmas meal for 2013, Sharon! Hope to hear back from you soon. :-)
