Hello, Amanda!
Welcome back to planDisney, it's lovely to have you!
There are many
services for guests with disabilities sailing with Disney Cruise Line, however, there are no floating wheelchairs available at Castaway Cay. There are sand wheelchairs that can help you and your daughter explore the beach, though! You can find a limited number of sand wheelchairs free of charge at the Pelican Point tram stop (or at Serenity Bay if your daughter is 18 or over). The sand wheelchairs are designed to be used on the beach but are not meant to go in the water. I'm so sorry about that! There are other
floats available to rent, and beach chairs that are low to the ground so you can enjoy the waves around your toes, but it would be up to you to determine if these things are safe and appropriate options for your daughter.
I do have some good news if your daughter would like to use the pools on the ship!
Wheelchair pool lifts are available on every Disney Cruise Line ship. With a visit to Guest Services onboard and a little extra planning, you'll be ready to cool off on deck!
I would highly recommend
reading more about using a wheelchair onboard and contacting
Disney Cruise Line Special Services to get a little extra help planning your cruise. By filling out the Special Services Information Form you'll be able to communicate with a Cast Member who can help with any special arrangements that need to be made. The
Information for Guests with Disabilities or Medical Conditions guide is an incredible resource, too!
You're always welcome to sail back here if you have more questions, Amanda! Wishing you a truly magical cruise!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
