Are there floatation devices available for 8 month old for lazy River (Typhoon lagoon) or only life jackets? Can I bring my own infant floatation device (non inflatable)

    Hi Kristen! Welcome to planDisney.

Get ready for a splashing good time at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. Be sure to visit Ketchakiddee Creek with your little one. Guests under four feet tall have their very own scaled-down oasis. This area features mini waterslides, a cave with a waterfall, and water cannons.

Here is the policy for Life Jackets at Water Parks.

Permitted at Walt Disney World Water Parks:

    • Water Park provided Life Jackets (Available free of charge at High 'N Dry Rentals, Snowless Joe's, and on racks near the Dressing Rooms)
    • Swimmer's aid devices that attach to the body (Parent/Guardian should stay within arm's length of the child.)
    • Coast Guard-approved personal floatation devices (PFD), water wings, and flotation sewed into the bathing suit. Baby float tubes are permitted in Castaway Creek, Crush 'n' Gusher swim area, and Cross Country Creek. The parent/Guardian is required to be in contact with the baby float at all times.
    • Flotation devices are not permitted at Humunga Kowabunga, Slush Gusher, Summit Plummet, or past the solid red line in the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool.

You should avoid floatation devices that do not come into contact with the body like kickboards, rafts, noodles, and personal intertubes.

When hunger hits stop by Leaning Palms for burgers, rice bowls, flatbreads, and sippers. I recommend the Barbeque Chicken and Grilled Pineapple Flatbread or the Jerk Shimp Rice Bowl for unique bites.

    Keeping it Magical,
    Cindy
