Are flip flops allowed / suitable footwear for the Disney rides? Our family will be there during June when it is hot.

    Hi Robert,

If you love your flip-flops, go for it! I suggest you and your family members wear whatever shoes you find the most comfortable. There's a lot of walking and standing, as you know.

You see people in all kinds of footwear, including boots and high heels. But most people opt for sneakers or flip-flops.

I'm a Florida girl, so I prefer sandals in the theme parks year-round. My go-to pair are specifically designed for walking and have some support in the arches. But I alternate those with my cushy flip-flops and my running shoes.

The key is to be as cool and comfortable as possible. You don't want your fun to marred by hot, aching feet.

Please let me know if I can answer any other questions before your visit. Enjoy!
