Hello, Our flight is scheduled to arrive in Orlando around 7 pm (if no delay) and we are using magical express. Should we tag our bags for magical express to deliver to our room or pick up our bags ourselves. I read it can take 3-5 hrs for delivery?

    Hi Keely,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney's Magical Express offers complimentary transportation between the Orlando International Airport and your Walt Disney World Resort hotel. You read correctly, if your flight lands between 5:00 AM and 10:00 PM, it can take up to 3 hours after you arrive for your luggage to be delivered. In fact, this is timeline has proven to be quite accurate for my family for many years. Given that you are landing in the evening after traveling across the country all day, you may be good and ready to head to bed when you arrive. Then again, since you will be traveling from Washington, it will feel like 4:00 PM to you when you land. Personally, if I was in your situation, I think I would check my bags without the yellow tags and I would retrieve my own luggage at baggage claim.

Regardless of whether you choose to tag your bags for Disney's Magical Express or not, be sure to pack a carry-on with a change of clothes, prescription medicines, essential bathroom products, and a swim suit and / or pajamas. This way you are covered just in case your bag is delayed for longer than expected.

Please let us know if we can assist you further.

    Wishing you magical memories,
