Hello Tracey!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
“Now it’s time to say good-by to all our company…” Oh, it’s so hard to say “see ya real soon” when we visit the most magical place on earth. I always want to make those pixie dusted moments last forever.
Tracey, since I live in Brazil our flights back home usually leave Orlando International Airport late in the evening, so I always request late check-outs. The latest I have already been allowed to stay in a Guest room was until noon, and I know people who have stayed until 1:00 p.m., but late check-out is based on availability and not always guaranteed. I have not been granted my request on two occasions, because it was a very busy time of the year and Mousekeeping needed to prepare the room for the next Guests. I recommend calling Front Desk the day before you check out to talk about the possibility of staying longer.
What I usually do in the morning of check-out is store our luggage with Bell Services and go explore the Walt Disney World Resort. We don’t visit theme parks, but please note that some benefits will still be available to you until midnight like the ability of using your Disney Dining Plan in case you have one and still have entitlements, or hanging out by the pool, for example. We like going to another Disney Resort hotel for lunch, and we usually pick venues located at Disney's Beach Club Resort or at
Disney’s BoardWalk.
Disney Springs is also a great option, and besides exploring the shops you also have great dining opportunities and other activities your family might enjoy.
Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tracey! I hope this helps you while planning.
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
