Our flight to Orlando has been delayed and will arrive at 5:36 pm. We are using Disney's transportation to get to the resort from the airport. Our dinner reservations we made weeks ago is for 6:50 at Coral Reef. Will we make it?

    Hi Alison,

While I hate to be the bearer of bad news, I think it is unlikely that you will make it to Coral Reef for that dining reservation. I typically allow sixty to ninety minutes to get from Orlando's airport to your Disney resort. The ride from the airport to the Disney property is approximately thirty minutes and you should allow for wait time to exit the plane, get down to baggage or the Magical Express counter, on a shuttle bus etc. Depending on what resort you are staying at, you may not be the first drop-off and you would also need to allow time to check-in once at your resort property.

Once at your resort, you will need to catch a Disney bus to Epcot, go through security and the turnstiles and walk to the Coral Reef restaraunt. Even if your plane is right on time and a bus is waiting for you the minute you arrive, I estimate you would need to allow at least two to two and half hours to get from the plane to Coral Reef.

You could catch a cab from the airport and go directly to Epcot, but this option would be costly. You can leave the reservation at its current time and attempt to make it by bus and hopefully your plane will be early, or you can call and try and arrange a later seating time or different date for that reservation. It is a possibility that the restaraunt will still seat you if you arrive late, just call and ask if you are running late. Good luck!
