Our flight leaves @ 4:15pm Nov18th. Can we realistically expect to spend time at Disney Springs before Magic Express picks us up? Can we leave carry-ons at the Floridian? With bus system & holiday season Saturday, I'm a little worried. Thanks!

    Hi Mary,

I love a stay at the elegant Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The quick ferryboat or monorail ride to Magic Kingdom is wonderful.

I think that you will be able to spend some time at Disney Springs on the morning of your departure. Disney's Magical Express will leave you a letter the day before your departure with a time that they will pick you up. This is typically about three hours before your flight leaves for a domestic flight. The time will likely be around 1:15 p.m., and Disney Springs typically opens around 10:00 a.m., so you will have a couple of hours to tour Disney Springs. You should be able to leave your carry on luggage with Bell Services at your resort.

If that time table seems too tight for you, let me offer you another option. My family and I often like spending time at our resort on our check out day. You might start with an early morning swim before you check out of your room, and then head for a meal at one of the restaurants at the resort. Lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe is always nice, or if you prefer to end your vacation with an energetic character meal, consider a late breakfast at 1900 Park Fare.  By staying at your resort, you might find that you are less worried about making it back for your Magical Express and enjoy your last day more at Walt Disney World.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Mary. Please let us know if you have any further questions!
