Our flight lands in Orlando at 8pm on 12/31/13. We'd like to head over to DTD to grab a bite to eat and get our PP+ card while we wait for our luggage to be delivered. Will everything be open as usual since it will be New Year's Eve? Thanks!!

    Hi there Joanne,

It's so funny that you ask, because my family's tradition on arrival eve is to head right over to Downtown Disney to do a little shopping, grab a bite to eat, and take in some great entertainment along the way! Things will be especially hopping on New Year's Eve and businesses will be operating on the regular schedule and some will even observing extended hours because of the holiday!

There are a few special events going on that evening so you may want to go ahead and make reservations to insure availability when you arrive.  You can browse the Downtown Disney Restaurants and make reservations using the convenient online booking system.  I highly suggest making advanced reservations since you will be arriving on a holiday!

Raglan Road Irish Pub (MY FAVE) will have live music and Irish dancing throughout the evening as well as Champagne toasts for the adults!  I LOVE the menu here and there is really something for everyone, even the kiddos!  The entertainment is always amazing too!  I think this would be a great spot to enjoy a NYE dinner and if you end up there, be sure to try the Dalky Duo appetizer and the Shepherd's Pie!

    Best Wishes,
