Our flight lands at MCO at 6:30pm. We would like to reserve dinner but are not sure how much time we should allow between landing and arriving at the Port Orleans - French Quarter resort. Are dinner reservations even an option for this night?

    Hi there Julie,

This really depends on your method of transportation.  I would suggest allowing about an hour to travel from MCO to Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter if you will be taking a Disney's Magical Express Coach. While it could be shorter, that is an estimate just to be safe.  Since you won't need to worry about your bags (as they will be delivered to your room later), you can go ahead and quickly check in and immediately head off for dinner.  I think an 8:00 or 8:15 reservation would be perfectly doable.  There are a few dining locations nearby including a nice table service, Boatright's Dining Hall which is located right next door at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside property.

If you want to explore more options, I suggest browsing the restaurants at Disney Springs which is not far from your hotel.  There is just so much to choose from there and reservations are available late into the evening. You can actually take a boat right from Port Orleans French Quarter which is really neat.

    Best Wishes,
