Our flight home was just pushed back to 7PM on May 14, 2022. Can we safely store our luggage and go to one of the parks for a few hours and return back in time to catch our Mears bus at 4PM? We're staying at Port Orleans Riverside.

    Hello Andy,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! A pushed back flight, on your departure day? That sounds like the best flight change ever. It gives you more time to soak in the magic before heading back to reality. Lucky you!

You can absolutely play in the parks for another day, or even just spend the day shopping, dining, and enjoying Disney Springs. I know on our vacations, we sometimes don't get to spend as much time as we would like in Disney Springs because we want to spend as much time as possible in the parks. Whatever you choose to do, you can leave your luggage at Bell Services before you head out. They'll store it for you while you head off for a day of fun, and you can pick it up before you catch your bus back to the airport.

You'll want to give yourself about 90 - 120 minutes (depending on where you are spending your day) to make sure you have plenty of time to return to Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and collect your luggage before your ride to the airport. It most likely won't take that long, but you don't want to feel rushed on that last magical day.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
