Our flight home from MCO after the cruise leaves at 11:30am. How do we ensure we are the first ones off the ship so that we can take the first DCL shuttle to the airport from Port Canaveral? What time do the DCL shuttles start transporting people to MCO?

    Hello Michelle,

Thanks for sailing by!  One of the things that most impresses me about Disney Cruise Line is how organized and quick debarkation procedures are.  I have had an 11:30 flight out of Orlando International Airport previously and had no trouble not only getting to the airport, but also had plenty of time to grab a snack and head to my gate.  As you know, Disney Cruise Line recommends that when booking flights home out of Orlando International Airport you not depart prior to 11:30 a.m., so your departure time will ensure that you have plenty of time to have breakfast, pass through customs and comfortably catch your Disney Cruise Line ground transportation back to the airport.  By booking ground transportation, you will also be able to use Onboard Airline Check-In, which will allow you to check your luggage and get your boarding passes before you depart the ship, greatly speeding up your time at the airport.  Cabanas offers a quick buffet-style breakfast on debarkation morning to accommodate guests with early flights home.  The earliest passengers (who chose to carry their own luggage off the ship) are generally cleared to disembark by approximately 7:30 am, and general debarkation usually begins a bit before 8:00 am.  Once you disembark, you will see rows of ground transportation buses waiting to take you to the airport, and should have no problem making your flight home.

Now that your disembarkation question is out of the way, let's get back to focusing on the wonderful experiences you will have on your magical voyage!
