Hello, Karyn! Your departure day sounds a lot like how mine are usually planned. I typically opt for a late returning flight so that I can spend every last second that I can at Walt Disney World. I always have to go through and ride my favorite attractions one last time to say 'bye'.
Before you check out you should make sure that you have everything out of your luggage that you will need for the day. If your airline participates in the
Resort Airline Check-in Service, you can check your luggage from your Resort Hotel. It is very convenient to do so because you won't have to deal with dragging around bags all day and also because its a step that you can bypass at the Orlando International Airport. If you have any additional bags, jackets or carry on items, you can ask the front desk at your Resort Hotel to hold them until you return in the evening for your scheduled Disney's Magical Express pickup. Disney's Magical Express does not pick up from the theme parks, so you will have to return to your Resort Hotel at the designated time. Pick up time is usually around 3 hours prior to take off, so if your flight is at 10:30pm, I would expect your pick up time to be around 7:30pm. The day before you are scheduled to leave you will get all of your departure information in an envelope that is usually attached to your Resort Hotel Room door. In this envelope you will find your Disney's Magical Express pick up time.
I hope this helps, and if you need anything else please stop back in to see us. Have a magical Walt Disney World vacation!
