Are flight home is at 2:30 in the afternoon. I am thinking about making a reservation at Chef Mickey's for breakfast that day. If we make a later breakfast at like 9:30 and check out from the hotel is at 11:00 do we have to take our luggage with us?

Hi Nicole! Things have gotten a little harder to stay late in your room after check-out time.  All of the resorts that are using the new key system similar to the new cruise ships will automatically lock at 11am.  If you try to get back in after that time you will have to go to the front desk and someone will have to escort you back to retrieve your things.  You can ask for a late check-out time and if possible they will grant that to you.

I suggest you simply pack before the breakfast and take your luggage down for short term storage with the valets. It will give you a less stressful breakfast where you can relax and enjoy your last Disney meal. My family is actually doing Chef Mickey's the morning we head out on a cruise as we thought it was a perfect way to send us off!
