Welcome aboard, Susan! I’m so happy to see your question because I’m scheduled to sail on the Alaskan Cruise on the
Disney Wonder right after yours! I’m happy to help you navigate your arrival.
Plan to fly into Vancouver International Airport for your Alaskan Cruise. The ship departs from the Canada Place Cruise Terminal. Sometimes I find it easier to leave the transportation decisions to Disney Cruise Line. Reservation specialists can arrange your
flight and add ground transportation to your reservation. They can even help with hotel reservations before or after your cruise.
I recommend flying in the day before embarkation just in case there are any travel delays. Plus,
Vancouver is such a fun city to explore! I know that this isn’t always possible for everyone. Just make sure you allow extra time to retrieve your luggage and exit customs. The airport is about 45 minutes from the cruise port. Even though you are sailing to Alaska, you’ll still need a valid passport to enter Canada. The
Travel Documentation page will list all the travel documents you’ll need for your sailing.
Susan, I hope I have helped steer you in the right direction. Before you know it, it will be time to book your
Port Adventures! My top ones include whale watching, glacier viewing, and nature hikes. I recommend looking at the Port Adventures offered and filtering them by Ports of Call. This will give you a good idea of the unique experiences at each port. Please come back and see us again if you have any more questions. We love helping Guests plan magical vacations at sea!
SEAS the adventure,
