Flight from BWI to MCO will arrive about 8:30am. Would it be feasible to do a character breakfast straight from the airport for 10:45am reservation then head to Magic Kingdom? What time should I schedule our first set of fast passes?

    Hi Ashley,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Can I just say how cool it is that the FIRST thing you want to do after arriving in Orlando is to make a dash to dine with your Disney pals? Check the weather? No. Check-in? No. Check your sun screen? No. Get as fast as possible to hang with, hug, and do the happy dance with your Disney friends? Yes, yes, and, well, yes!

Ashley, like each of us here at Disney Parks Moms Panel, I'm going to try and help with your question, and in this case that means making some guesses.

If you're taking Disney's Magical Express, you'll want to allow about 45 minutes or more from the time you've boarded the motor coach til you arrive at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, and some routes make stops at multiple Resorts. If you're driving or taking a ride-share, it'll take less time. While you don't mention which character breakfast you're heading to, I'd say you're looking good time-wise — you're not going to dilly dally, are you?  —  and you can arrive for your restaurant reservation a few minutes early. So, to your first question, I'd say yes, your plans are feasible.

Now to your question on your FastPass+ selections. Again, while you don't mention which character breakfast you're heading to, I'd encourage you to plan for as much time as possible to enjoy meeting and greeting all your friends. So, my personal take would be to make FastPass+ selections starting around noon or 1 p.m.

Ashley, I personally think that the practical questions you're asking will guide you to a magic-filled Walt Disney World vacation, especially because you are mindful about taking in all the magic before you.

Enjoy your Disney! (And I'm confident you will).

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
