Flight arriving at 2:17 pm, will be using Magical Express from airport. Staying at the GF. Will we be able to make a 5:15 pm dining reservation at Chef Mickey's?

    Hi Sara,

The folks at Magical Express estimate that from the time you arrive at the counter to check-in to arrival at your resort can take between one and two hours.  In my experience, this is a conservative estimate.  While times are approximate, and can vary based upon the number of resorts your bus stops at on the way to the Grand Floridian and traffic, I would say a bit over an hour is more realistic.  I have had trips where I was at the front desk exactly 60 minutes from the time I disembarked the plane, and others that were closer to 90 minutes.  Remember, by using Magical Express, you will be able to bypass baggage claim at the airport, which is a huge time saver.

If your plane lands on time, and you move quickly to the Magical Express Counter, I think you have a good chance of making your 5:15 reservations, assuming that once you check in at the Grand Floridian, you immediately proceed to the resort monorail and head over to the Contemporary (where Chef Mickey's is located.)  I fly to Orlando via the New York Metro area, so I always allow for airline delays.  In fact, I'd say Magical Express is far more reliable than my airline!

If you are able to get a reservation that is a bit later, you might have some more breathing room, but I do think it's possible if the "stars are aligned"!

    Have a wonderful trip!
