Our flight arrives at 2:35 on 5/23. We are using ME.We have reservations at Akershus at 5:15 and are staying at Beach Club Villas. Will we have enough time to make Akershus for dinner?Do you have any time saving suggestions?

    Hi Amy,

Dining at Akershus is a great way to jump right into the magic of a Disney vacation!  Normally, I wouldn't advise making reservations any earlier than 3 hours after your arrival, because you never know where you may get delayed, but since you're staying at Beach Club I think you'll be fine.

Definitely do online check in up to 10 days prior to your arrival.  This will speed up your check in process.  When you arrive at the resort, you'll see a separate line for guests who have checked in online.  It's usually much shorter than the regular line, and cast members do their best to get your information to you quickly so that you can head off to the parks.

You'll be able to walk to Epcot, so that will save you time waiting for transportation.  I think you may even make it to your reservation with a few moments to spare!

Remember that your luggage may not arrive in your room until several hours after you arrive, so just be sure to pack any essential items in your carry-on luggage.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
