Our flight arrives at 930am and we are using the Disney service that takes our checked bags to our hotel room. Since check-in is 3pm, will we be able to access our bags between arrival and check in time? We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a wonderful resort and one of my favorites at Walt Disney World!

When your flight lands at the Orlando International Airport, proceed to Terminal B, Level 1 where you'll find the Disney Welcome Center. Here, you'll check in for your bus transportation via Disney's Magical Express.

At the Animal Kingdom Lodge go directly to the Check In desk. If your room is ready (even if it's before 3:00 p.m.), you'll be given the key! During less busy times of the year, we've often been in our rooms before the official check in time.

Your luggage will be available to be delivered to your room by 3 hours after your flight lands (12:30 p.m. in your case). Therefore you will not have immediate access to your bags when you arrive the Animal Kingdom Lodge. They travel separately when you use the Disney Magical Express luggage transfers.

If you want or need your bags with you, then do not place the DME tags on your luggage. Go to Baggage Claim prior to the Welcome Center Desk. You can then take your luggage with you on the bus. Typically the driver is tipped $1 per bag. When you arrive WDW, have Bell Services take your bags until you get your room.

If you opt for luggage transfers, you can ask Bell Services to bring out your bags to you around 12:30 p.m. They'll let you retrieve any items you need, then they will continue to store them until your room is ready.

There's lots of options. Choose the one that works best for your family!
