If our flight arrives at 11:15 am, what is the estimated time to arrive at the resort, get checked in and go to one of the parks? We made a dining reservation and want to make sure we are not late. I know it is an estimate, but wanted to get an idea.

    Hi Cathy,

When flying into Orlando International Airport, you have a few choices to get to any Walt Disney World resort with the most common being renting a car or using Disney's Magical Express.  If you rent a car, you will need to pick up your luggage and head to the car rental place and then drive to your resort.  This whole process would probably take about an hour.  If you are using Disney's Magical Express, you do not need to collect your luggage and will head to the Welcome Center in the Main Terminal Building, B side, level 1.  Here you will wait for your resort bus to leave which can take on average 15-20 minutes.  The drive to the resorts takes around 30-40 minutes.  Assuming your plane is one time, you will be at your resort around 12:30 -12:45 pm.  You will be able to check-in and get your Key to the World card.  If your room is not ready, you may leave your carry-on bags with Bell Services and head to one of the parks. It takes on average 20 minutes to get from the resort to the Theme Parks depending on where your are staying and what park you are going to.  Sometimes, you will need to wait for a bus and that can take on average 10-15 minutes.  I think it is reasonable to assume you will be at one of the Theme Parks around 2:30 pm which will give you plenty of time to play before heading for your dinner reservation.  Have a magical vacation, Cathy!
