Our flight arrives around 11 am on 9/27. Taking the Disney transportation to AOA resort. We are planning on then going to spend the rest of the day at MK. Making FP+ selections in a few days. What's the earliest time you recommend making a FP+ reserv?

    Hi Stefanie,

You are on the ball ... Disney's Art of Animation Resort is a fantastic choice and you're traveling during an ideal time of year. I'm glad you've heard about Disney's newest enhancement, FastPass+. If these were my plans, I'd predict we would arrive at AoA between 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. You'll want to check-in, perhaps walk the resort a bit, and drop off your carry-on luggage with Valet. Typically, rooms are not ready until mid afternoon. This might also be a great opportunity to grab a bite to eat. It'll be much easier and quicker to eat at the AoA quick-service location versus Magic Kingdom during the lunch hour.

It's probably around 1:00 or 1:30 p.m. by now. You can expect to be at MK around 2:00 (the bus ride is around 20 minutes) and you'll soon be immersed in the magic! I would not suggest booking FastPass+ options until after 3:00 p.m. I would highly recommend a "no rush" policy at the entrance, taking in the sights, sounds and delicious smells of Main Street U.S.A.

I hope my suggestions helped, Stefanie, and may I also recommend preferred viewing for wishes nighttime spectacular as your 3rd FastPass+ choice. Watching the fireworks on your arrival day is bound to be a magical experience.

Have a great vacation and feel free to visit us again!
