Our flight arrives around noon, so by the time we get to the resort it will be after 2. What happens if I make a park reservation and because of a flight delay that park is closed when we arrive? Can we go to a different park we have PH and after 2

Hello there, Deborah. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. December is one of my very favorite times of the year to visit Walt Disney World. Everything is dressed up in its holiday best and so festive and fun. You are going to have a magical time!

With your park pass reservations, Deborah, you are guaranteed access to that specific Walt Disney World Theme Park all day. No need to worry about not being able to get into that specific theme park. Also, I've been park hopping since its return, at the start of this year, and I've had no trouble with maxed-out parks at all. Only one day, October 1st which was the kick-off of the 50th celebration did park hopping to Magic Kingdom close for a little bit. I would not be concerned about not being able to park hop during your vacation in mid-December.

With your park hopper tickets, you are able to visit multiple Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day. However, in order to "activate" your park hopper feature, you must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation first before continuing on to other theme parks. You don't have to spend any time at that theme park perse, but you do have to go there and use your ticket to enter. The system can see things like that and if you go to another theme park first, you will have to backtrack to the theme park with the park pass reservation first. If the theme park with the park pass reservation is closed for the night, I'd probably suggest you cancel that specific park pass reservation and change it to the theme park that is still open. Day of park pass reservations are pretty easy to get, so I think you would be able to do some switching around if your flight was severely delayed.

Deborah, I don't think you are going to have any problems enjoying your day once you arrive at Walt Disney World. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help.

    Have fun and happy hopping!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
