I want to be flexible with my mealtimes and preferences, but I want good food, too. If I don't make reservations for EVERY MEAL, am I going to be stuck eating out of a pretzel cart? Are there places in the deluxe resorts that don't need a rsvp?

Hello Alexi.  That's a great questions, thanks for asking it here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Table Service meals are very popular at Walt Disney World.  I always recommend making your dining reservations 180 days in advance to ensure you are able to dine at the places you want.  Most restaurants do tend to fill up rather quickly, getting a walk up reservation can be extremely difficult.  There is nothing more frustrating than being hungry and tired but not having anywhere to go because the restaurant is full.  I have seen it happen too many times.  If you absolutely do not want to make reservations, I would suggest getting in line for a restaurant 30-45 minutes prior to it opening to see if they have any availability that day.  They may have some tables right away or not until very late, like 9:30 at night but that is absolutely not guaranteed.  If you don't want to be "stuck" eating at quick service locations, which there are some really good ones, I highly encourage you to go ahead and make dining reservations.

If you have any other questions, I am here to help.  Have a magical day!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
