Is there a flat rate if you use the Minnie Vans between resorts if you have an early morning character breakfast? How do you pay..is it just cash? Do you tip as well? How far in advance do you need to book?Thank you.

    Welcome BACK, Lisa!

Minnie Vans are probably one of the most convenient new offerings Walt Disney World Resort has introduced over the last few years. Modeled after app-based ride hailing transportation, Disney's Minnie Van Service is a quick and stylish way to move around the 'World. (Well, the Walt Disney World.) I love that all of the vehicles are owned and maintained by Disney, that the drivers are all vetted Disney Cast Members, and that each vehicle comes equipped with two car seats. The car seats are complimentary to use, and your driver will even install them for you!

Minnie Vans are actually serviced through the Lyft app, which you will need to download in order to both request and pay for your ride. When you log in, you'll see a GPS map of where you are. You might even see a red Minnie Van dot driving on the map! You'll enter your destination, and then you'll see the total price estimate at the bottom. This service recently changed from a flat-rate ride to a small pick up fee + per milage price. Once you've decided that you do want to take this trip, press the "Request Ride" button at the bottom of the app. You'll be connected to your driver almost immediately. You'll be able to see how far away they are on the GPS map, which will update in real time. You'll also see a time estimate of your drivers arrival, which is usually between 1 to 10 minutes away. So be sure that you're ready to ride when you order your car! You can add a tip to your trip through the app once you've arrived at your destination, or you can certainly leave one in cash.

Bonus Tips: My fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelist Emille made a wonderful planning video about the Minnie Van Service. And ask your driver if they have a transportation card!

We'll See you Real Soon, Lisa!
