    Do they still have the Flag retreat ceremony that a veteran can participate in? My daughter and I would like to surprise him with this opportunity. I look forward to your answer. Your panel is awesome!!

    Hello Carol!

    The Flag Retreat Ceremony is one of my favorite magical moments at Magic Kingdom Park.  The ceremony still takes place on most days.  In my experience, the selection process for those participating in the ceremony can vary from day-to-day.  There are two different ways we've seen the process take place: 1. Cast Members may look for veteran's or military members wearing military hats/shirts at the gates prior to park opening and approach those guests to ask them if they'd like to participate in the ceremony later that day. 2. We've also headed straight to Guest Relations inside the park and asked if there were spots available for the ceremony.  

    My suggestion is to arrive at the parks early and head straight to Guest Relations when the park opens to inquire about that day's Flag Retreat Ceremony.  I hope you're able to surprise your veteran with a spot in the ceremony.  It will truly be a memory to last a lifetime.  From one military family to another, thank you to your veteran for their service.
