Hi! Five years ago, Mickey left balloons and a birthday cake in our room for our 5-year-old son. We will be back in July and I’m wondering if I can still order those things to surprise our birthday boy. Thank you for your help!

Hi Kristen, and welcome to planDisney!

I am totally here for a birthday surprise! I have surprised my family on more than one occasion, and it was the best, especially when you get surprised while at Walt Disney World Resort!

Have you looked into Disney Floral & Gifts? They have an array of offerings that will suit any occasion, and they can be delivered to your resort. You can choose from gifts like A Very Goofy Welcome, which includes some yummy treats and keepsakes. Another option, depending on your son's age now, could be the Quiet Time with Mickey Mouse gift basket, which includes a themed pillow, soft blanket, and even some door decor and other items. I recommend taking a look to see if what they offer is what you might be looking for.

Of course, a cake may be in order. You can order a specialty cake to have delivered while you eat dinner at participating table-service restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort. So if you have a special birthday meal planned at The Garden Grill Restaurant at EPCOT, you can request a cake and have it delivered while enjoying your meal. Talk about dessert!

Either way, I am sure this birthday will be special because the memories will be priceless.

    Have a magical birthday!
