We have a five year old and 2 year old. We want a kid friendly disney hotel, but we don't want rude people or to be kept up til 12 midnight by other people's kids. We are also nervous about the long bus services. Where should we stay?

    Hi Janelle:

It sounds like you are looking for a solidly constructed Resort that insulates noise and is located near the Parks. In general, some of the Value Resorts may be most prone to noise.  Your best bet will be a Deluxe Resort on the monorail system, Of the three monorail resorts, I would lean towards the Polynesian Resort.  The Polynesian has the convenience of the monorail, a tropical and relaxing atmosphere, and a wonderfully-themed pool that your family should really enjoy.  I haven't experienced noise issues at this Resort, nor have I heard of many noise complaints here.  At a monorail Resort, you'll be close to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, and a bus ride away from Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.  Buses are generally scheduled to depart every twenty minutes, but I've found they depart much more frequently, and only on rare occasions is the wait longer.

Another Resort to check out, which is just a boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom, is Wilderness Lodge.  Wilderness Lodge has a terrific Pacific Northwest theme, and the boat ride to the Magic Kingdom will likely delight your two children.  When my family stayed at Wilderness Lodge last month, we did not experience any noise.

If you are looking at a Value, I would check out Pop Century and the new Art of Animation Resort over the All Star Resorts.

    Enjoy your vacation.
