Hi Lucyna! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
You must be excited about your upcoming first trip to
Disneyland Resort. It's right around the corner! There's so much magic in store and you're going to have the best time. I'd love to help you navigate some of the details of your admission tickets.
I think you made a great choice selecting the Disney Genie+ Service for your
admission tickets. That's always my family's preference as well since we're able to spend less time in lines and more time focused on the fun. You don't need
MagicBand+ to use Genie+. While you can use your MagicBand+ to scan into the parks and
Lightning Lane Entrances you booked using Genie+, you can also use your mobile device to scan in. You'll also be using your mobile device to book your Lightning Lane Entrances on the
Disneyland mobile app. So, the important thing with Genie+ is to download the app, play around with it to familiarize yourself with how it works, and make sure your mobile device is fully charged for the day before you enter the parks.
If you'd like to purchase a MagicBand+, which interacts with certain attractions and entertainment by lighting up and vibrating, you can purchase one once you've arrived at Disneyland Resort. These bands are available for sale in your
Disneyland Resort Hotel gift shop and in shops in
Downtown Disney District, and the parks. The only way to have a MagicBand+ shipped ahead of time for Disneyland Resort is to make your purchase in advance through
shopDisney. Since we're awfully close to your visit to safely assume it will arrive in time, I'd buy one when I arrive if you'd like to have one.
Admission tickets are not physical tickets, so there is nothing to ship. You should have received an e-mail confirming your ticket purchase with a confirmation number. This is your ticket. Link these tickets to your Disneyland mobile app to easily scan in at the park entrances. I can walk you through how to do this.
On the lower right-hand side of the app, you'll see a three-bar menu. Tap this and it will bring up a series of tiles. Click "Tickets and Passes" You should see an option at the top to "Link Tickets & Passes" or a "+" sign. Click and select either "Open Camera" to scan the barcode on your ticket with your device's camera or "Type ID" to manually enter the confirmation number from your e-mail. If you manually type the code, click "Link Media" when you're finished typing. Once your tickets are linked to the app, you'll be ready to enter the parks and book your Lightning Lane Entrances.
I hope this helps! Have the best time.
Elizabeth
