Hi Moms! This is our fist Disney vacation and we will be traveling late May for 7 nights and we are celebrating our sons 5th B-Day at Disney, although we will not be there on his actual B-day, does Disney do anything special for them on there B-Days?

    Hi Samuel!

You better believe it!  Unfortunately, since he will not be at WDW  on his actual birthday, he will not be able to get in free.   Don't worry - there are still tons of great ways to celebrate your little man's birthday!  The first thing that I recommend doing is mentioning that you are celebrating a birthday when you check into your resort.  Who knows, they may do something special!

When you arrive at the parks, be sure to ask Guest Relations for a free  "It's my Birthday!" pin and have him wear it proudly.  Of course, if he doesn't feel comfortable wearing it on his "un-birthday," then I wouldn't force the issue.  I highly recommend eating at Chef Mickey's  for his birthday celebration.  This place knows how to party!  Your little dude should love all of the singing, clapping and dancing performed by Mickey and friends.  While here, you can even order a cake for him to be delivered to his table!  For a real showstopper, check out the Disney Florist for some really amazing gifts.  Finally, during many attractions, the cast members often ask if anyone is celebrating their birthdays - let him proudly shout out that he is FIVE!

Don't forget to check out the official WDW website for some great info on planning for "first-timers."  Have a magical time!!!
