Hi, Emily. Welcome to planDisney.
If you've ever dreamed of casting a line at Walt Disney World, you don’t have to be staying at a Disney Resort hotel to enjoy some
fishing at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
You can enjoy dockside fishing at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. At Port Orleans Riverside, head to the Fishin' Hole at Ol' Man Island, where you can rent poles and bait for a relaxing experience. Over at Fort Wilderness, the docks and lakes provide another great spot to try your luck. No resort stay is required, so Guests from anywhere can enjoy a little outdoor magic. Think of it as a mini adventure, where "part of your world" could be a quiet dock with a fishing pole in hand.
Keep in mind that parking at Disney Resort hotels is typically reserved for registered Guests or those with dining reservations. To make things easier, consider taking Disney transportation from a theme park, or hop on a bus from
Disney Springs to reach the resort. Both options let you enjoy the hotel without worrying about parking.
Here's a planDisney tip: If you want to go all-in, consider booking a guided
fishing excursion at spots like Bay Lake and
Seven Seas Lagoon (near Magic Kingdom Park), Crescent Lake (by the EPCOT resorts), or over at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.
Happy planning, Emily.
