Firt time at Food and Wine Festival, going to a beer brewing seminar, already have tickets, if it starts at 6 what time do we need to get there, any other tips to enjoy the festival? Thanks, read everyday, 26 days and counting!

Hi Lesley!  The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival is something that my own family has not missed for the past eight years or so.  We enjoy the different food experiences and meeting the wonderful chefs and other personalities.

If your event begins at 6:00pm I suggest you arrive no later then 5:45pm.  You might consider even earlier to get a close spot to the front when the seating opens. Most of the seminars and other events have a designated number of spots so the crowds are never too large and the seating is generally good for everyone.

To really enjoy the Festival make sure you designate plenty of time for EPCOT.  Each country will have culinary and wine choices for guests to taste. The portions are small but that is actually good as you will want to try everything!  Look for guest artisans who will have art for sale throughout the World Showcase.  Some of their work is one of a kind, fabulous, and they will be glad to do something special just for you.

Don't forget to check out the Festival Center which will be located in the Wonders of Life Pavilion. This spot is back behind the Energy attraction.  This is the place to find that special wine or beer you might have tasted or find the cookbook from a guest chef.  You can ask about any other special events taking place.  There are some great tastings and lunches offered over the span of the Festival weeks.

If you happen to be there over a Saturday night I strongly urge you to try the Party For the Senses. This is a special extra ticket event every weekend where 50-70 chefs from all over Disney as well as the world come to cook a sample of their specialty for you.  Along with the food sampling you can also sample 50 or more internationally known wines and beers.  Basically it is an all you can eat 2 1/2 hours of heaven!  To check on availability of tickets for this and any other Food and Wine event please call 407-939-3463.
