Hi! Going to be a first-timer at Disney World this December. One of my questions is this; how acceptable is it to save places in line for several family members? Are we going to get lots of frowns and comments if 4-10 family members come join me in line?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Susan!

I'm so excited for your 1st trip to Disney World! Be sure to pick up "1st Visit" buttons for each of you at Guest Relations.

You've picked a wonderful time to visit. The parks are decorated so beautiful for Christmas and there is something extra magical in the air during the holiday season.

Occasionally, you will find Guests that become a little "stressed" even in the most magical of settings. Here are some things that I'd recommend regarding waiting in lines:

    * Take advantage of Disney's FASTPASS Service .
    * Try to keep everyone in line together if possible. Sometimes its hard to find people that are already in line or you may reach a point that you can't connect with them. There are times that a couple of people may need to join you after using the restroom but other Guests may not appreciate 10 people going in front of them in line for an attraction like Space Mountain.
    * If you have little ones, bring something to help keep them entertained in line - favorite small toys, snacks, bubbles, etc.
    * If you are trying to save spots for the parade, bringing towels to spread out may help. I usually tell the people around us how many I am expecting as a courtesy just so they aren't surprised when they all show up.
    * Not everyone has to wait in line for food or drinks so send only enough people to carry what you'll need.
    * Its okay to divide and conquer. If you have some thrill-seekers and some "fun-seekers", you can go in 2 different directions and join up later.
    * Be flexible. If you're willing to sit at different tables to dine or break into smaller groups on attractions, you may get seated faster.

I'm limited in space but happy to assist you with any other questions. I'm hEAR to help!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
