Would the first week of April or the last week of May be better to minimize crowds, but also be able to use the hotel swimming pool. April is better for us, but we are concerned it may be too cold to use the pool. Your opinion is appreciated.

Hello Gilberto!!  Greetings from a fellow Georgian!!

We have been during both months you are asking about so I can definitely help with this question.

The month of April is usually pretty busy due to Spring Break crowds.  Easter is on April 8 this year and the Easter peak season is a week before and after Easter, so you would definitely fall in that time period.  The weather should be fine during either month for the pools especially since they are heated.

I would recommend the end of May for your vacation due to the crowds.  The only times that might be crowded in May are the weekends towards the end of May with the Star Wars Weekends at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Most school systems around the country are still in school so there shouldn't be your normal summer crowds there at the end of May.  The weather will also be a bit better (even though April is wonderful weather-wise as well!!)

I hope this answers your questions and please feel free to come back and ask us more questions at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

    Have a magical day!!
