Hi Moms we are going on our first wdw vacation trip in April. I would love to use a sign post card from the chracters as a clue for my kids surprise that were going. Are they still doing the write a letter to a character and they send back a autograph pic.

Hi Karina!  This was actually a tougher question to get answered then I thought. There are so many rumors floating around out there.  This past year the Disney Cruise Lines stopped their unadvertised opportunity for guests to leave something to get autographed during their cruise. No reason was given but it was likely the demand became too great especially on the shorter cruises when time was less to get things done. Sad, as it was a nice perk.

As of this past fall of 2015 you were still able to send for autographs. I would certainly do this as soon as possible so you can use this as a surprise. I have read that some guests were not given a reply when requested so nothing is a guarantee. Send your requests to: Walt Disney World Communications, PO Box 10040, Lake Buena Vista, FL. 32830-0040.  Make sure your address is clearly written for them to send things back to you and it might be best to not be too specific about the characters. Perhaps if your kids like the princesses then just request Disney princesses. Mickey is always a favorite go to guy as well.

Good luck and hopefully this will work out. Before I leave you let me suggest another idea. If this does not work then perhaps purchase some Disney Dollars that you can give them and they in turn can use during their trip for something special. DisneyWorld.disney.go.com
