Hi! This is our first WDW vacation and I've heard all about trading pins. We have 4 children and I was wondering where I could get a bulk of them so that they would all have pins to trade with the cast members? Thank you so much for the info...LIFESAVERS!!

Hi Rachael welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. First time vacations to Walt Disney World are so special, and it sounds like you are planning an amazing first trip! I love pin trading so much. I recently became obsessed with the Disney pins and I shamelessly spent so much money on them on my last trip. I'm also planning on purchasing a pin starter set for my son before our next trip so that he can interact with the Cast Members and have fun trading pins.

You didn't specify whether or not you want to buy them before your vacation or once you arrive at Walt Disney World. Either way, I have a few suggestions.

I suggest purchasing a starter set for each of your children so that they all have their own lanyard and pins. The starter sets usually come with four pins. I also suggest that the pins be of characters that your children do NOT like, because they won't want to trade them if they love them. If you want to surprise your children with them before your vacation, I suggest purchasing them from The Disney Store or the Disney Parks Merchandise site. You can also find independent sellers online, but I will warn you that there are fake pins circulating. To be tradeable it must be a metal pin with the ©Disney mark on the back.

If you are wanting to purchase the pins on Walt Disney World property, you can typically find pins in the gift shops of any of the Resorts or parks. My favorite place is Disney's Pin Traders at Downtown Disney because it has a huge selection. I could spend in hour in there.

I hope this helps, and if you have any more questions, please feel free to stop by and we'd be happy to help.
