Hi moms, this is our first WDW trip and are going to have 2 small children 5(turning 6 while there) and 8(who only weighs about 50lbs) I was wondering about the double strollers at WDW. Do you think that they will fit okay. There is so much walking :) Thx

Hi there, Teresa!  You have asked the age old "stroller question" which happens to be a pretty common debate among visitors to this panel.  To "stroller" or not to "stroller"...

The answer really depends on the height of the 8 year old and the total combined weight of the two children.  The Disney Parks rental stroller rentals have a weight capacity of 100 pounds which includes anything you're carrying including bags, etc.  Height also comes into play... the older sibling will need to be less than 26" from bum to crown when sitting up straight to be accommodated since there is a sun shade on the stroller.  I would say that any child over 53" tall would be cutting it short and would be uncomfortable.

Also, please note that the in-park rentals must be left in the park which can be a hassle at the end of a long day when tired little bodies are being strolled around fast asleep.  I would recommend considering an off-site rental from a reputable company such as KingdomStrollers.com.  They offer like-new upscale stroller models such as BOB, and Baby Jogger and they will deliver directly to your resort at no additional charge.

The in-park rentals are made of hard plastic and may be uncomfortable for your children, while the off-site rentals are super comfy and extremely durable.  The bonus is the fact that you can take them anywhere, not just inside the theme parks!
